Anxiety
Anxiety is a common yet challenging experience that can significantly impact one's quality of life. People often worry about things to come, which can affect sleep, daily functioning, and relationships. There is no shame in experiencing worry or anxiety, no matter how “unrealistic” it may seem. At Heal Connect Grow Therapy, we listen, examine the anxiety or worry, and find ways to address the related thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and bodily sensations. Tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are most commonly used to help lower anxiety, worry, and ruminations.
Life Transitions/Change
Change is one of many things that can evoke anxiety and worry. Some changes are life-altering, such as graduating from school, getting or losing a job, moving, marriage, divorce, the birth of a baby, or when children turn into adults and move out of the house. Other changes, although less life-altering, can still have a large impact on an individual and their ability to function in life. These include increases in job responsibilities, deciding to switch college majors, the loss of a friendship, or other changes in relationship dynamics. During these life transitions, Heal Connect Grow Therapy can help you to let go of the past, process emotions around the change, and find a new plan for your future.
